How to Prepare Yourself—and Your Students—to Discuss Race, Identity, and Equity

Writing for Harvard Business Publishing, Sharon Ravitch presents a set of "equitable teaching" strategies she has identified through her academic development work around "flux pedagogy" and racial literacy training. She emphasises that this kind of work takes time, and therefore demands patience and a "practice mindset" that we can model for our students. In the end, Dr Ravitch argues, "It’s important we care, and create caring environments in which our students can speak and be heard."
