MapHow can cities feed their growing populations sustainably in a changing world?
Edible Urban Futures invites you to explore bold, creative proposals to one of the most urgent challenges of our time: urban food security. This exhibition showcases cutting-edge ideas from the University of Melbourne’s 2024 Edible Urban Futures winter intensive, where over 110 students and academics from 10 countries collaborated to rethink how design, architecture, and urban planning can transform the way we produce, access, and share food in cities.
From urban agriculture innovations to Indigenous practices and climate-responsive design, discover how the next generation of designers is tackling food insecurity with local action and global insights.
Visit the Design Gallery for the launch on Thursday 6 March, and then the exhibition from Friday 7 March to Friday 11 April 2024 to see how design can help reimagine urban life—and our shared future.
