The effects of the lockdown and slowing economy on the retail and hospitality sector are starting to ease in Australia - however, the question of how the sector will recover is likely to remain with us for many months to come. The situation is made more complex still by changes in consumer behaviour that have been amplified by the lockdown, such as the increasingly important role of e-commerce. At the same, the retail and hospitality sector has historically been at the forefront of innovation and change - how will it adapt to what might well be the biggest challenge in living memory?

Peter Huddle (Chief Operating Officer, Vicinity Centres), Richard Bowman (Partner, EY) and Stuart Fox (Managing Director, Victoria and National Head - Valuations & Advisory at Savills Australia & New Zealand) will debate in conversation with Professor Piyush Tiwari how the retail sector will embrace the changes brought about by this year's developments and what the future looks like post COVID-19.
