The concept explored through my design is the ability to adapt to varying climatic conditions and program uses. The pavilion consists of panels which can be stacked or opened up to create an environment that suits that particular use. The quality of space inside the pavilion facilitates various needs. It can be an intimate area when the panels are in an enclosed position. Or can be a more communal and inviting space with the panels stacked in the middle which opens the pavilion to the site. Circulation in a ring format complements the pavilion design - meaning that there is visual connection to the surrounding context. The pavilion can be manipulated and rotated to give visitors the best possible experience for any function within the space.
