Algorithmic

Peter Zumthor's Serpentine pavilion inspires the quality of space of this pavilion. Even though the vaulted form is quite open, there are still narrow spaces and spaces below ground level that allow people to experience the change of space. The pavilion would be a transitional space that connects the three main roads and allow a free circulation but still based on human movement according to the surrounding. Using algorithmic scripting, I employed the use of Kangaroo to help form my design with mathematics and physics. The anchor curves (circles) are located at three position - and those locations are the junctions of the three main roads on site.
