The concept of my pavilion was to create something which exemplifies that futuristic, impossible, sci-fy-esque type of design that catches eyes and makes people think “How did they do that?” in an out of this world kind of way.

Visitors are welcomed into the pavilion from the southern side and wander into a large interior threshold which looks out through a large cut-out window to the north. In the daytime, the window offers a generous amount of light during winter though is shaded by the roof in the summer. Within the threshold, seating is built into the pavilion itself to allow visitors to take a seat and enjoy the space rather than feeling like the space is just for passing through.
