The Wave – Fluidity Pavilion

The Wave – Fluidity Pavilion is centred around fluidity and dynamic movement. Inspired by a wave in the ocean, which always flows in a certain direction, this pavilion aims to explore the relationship between landscape and circulation. The fluid forms guide circulation from the exterior through to the interior – from the pathway to seating and audience area. The shape of the design has been formed to environmental and human factors (sunlight, visitor direction etc.) and aims to integrate form and function through details such as seating that curls up from the timber walkway. The orientation of pavilion is from the natural park to the urban centre; therefore it creates a viewpoint for a scenario like “flowing into the city”.
