The Anarchists’ Collective seeks to explore the differences and contradictions between architecture and anarchy. We invite you to view our speculative guide that presents a re-portrayal of the vertical neighbourhood through anarchy in architectural design. Architecture, at its façade, is a discipline that appears at odds with the concept of anarchy. Our Studio A brief, described architecture as being based on structure, hierarchy, walls and rigour. By contrast, Anarchy seeks to dismantle structures: cultural, political or social, and challenge disciplinary regulations and the status quo. It is exactly this contradiction that the Collective seeks to explore via architecture.
