Volumetric Savannah breaks the ground in downtown Savannah and emerges from the underground near the river. It grows into a habitable bridge into Hutchison Island connected from above and below ground. There are no cars or roads within the volumetric wards but just pedestrians and shared scooters. The wards are under and above ground and they vary in shape as they grow in the vertical. The south facing wards which receive the ample southern sun and rise in a stepped manner from the river connected with piers. Walking within reveals multiple views creating urban excitement because of multiple elements of surprises.

While that is on the surface, underneath and visible at certain places lies a self-sustaining system that requires minimal interference from outside. Electricity is produced from solar panels and biodigesters. Food is produced from a combination of aquaponic and hydroponic farming. Water is recycled and treated for consumption. Plastic is recycled by pulverising to create 3D printing coils for community makerspaces. Such are some of the self-sustaining methods and with the capability of expanding. Thus, living in Volumetric Savannah is not only sustainable with minimal carbon footprint but also rich in urban experiences, community life and physical wellbeing.
