“Form follows fiction”

I see fiction in architecture as a space of stories, stories of the inhabitants, stories of the site. Three fictional qualities are significantly featured - inhabitants lifestyle, historical and site context. They are brought intentionally into inner house to shape it both functionally and experientially. The Inner House seeks to find the local language through setting the site – vineyard as the core value. The design strives to counter the placelessness and lack of identity of the International Style. It is to provide an architecture rooted in the modern tradition, meanwhile providing a close connection and response to the site context in a geographical and historical context. Through the application of agricultural language, it activates home space to become a designed sensory experience for habitants, also provide communal living and individual space as a lifestyle response.
