The project ‘Control: Delirium’ explores Carl Jung’s concept of synchronicity where there is a bleeding of the subconscious and conscious elements taking material form. Based on the multi-award-winning game Control, the project questions the amount of trust we place in everyday, mundane, and predictable spaces that we traverse. What if, these spaces that we deem to be safe could physically move and manifest the subconscious by unraveling, stretching, pulling apart, and permeating different spaces as if to confront its inhabitants? The overall aim is to create spaces and atmospheres that elicit feelings of uncertainty and overall disorientation hence the name ‘Delirium’. Personifying the labyrinthian interior of the brutalist building known as the Oldest House as a possessed entity, the project portrays architecture expressed in a different dimension
