Retirement villages and nursing homes invisibly label people as ‘old’. ‘Baby Boomer’ is a generation that born in the decades between 1946 and 1961, they are either retired or close to it. Boomers are seeking a stylish and dignified living solutions toward their twilight years. The design is for a multi-generational family that aims to create a self-sufficient, adaptive, a place that can be passed on to generations and allow users age in place and adjust their spaces during different times of their life. The house will have food harvesting, water collection and energy production for the household, which required communal efforts to encourage participation within the family and the community. During this recent outbreak of Covid-19, people are panic buying and stockpiling stuff, isn’t that good to have a house that has everything ready for you?
