Bushfire Story

Through spatial-temporal interventions, the project helps children understand how fire plays a role as a natural process in their local environment. It creates a place-based learning experience that complements the existing school curriculum, which has a heavy focus on safety and bushfire prevention. It is envisioned that the proposed spatial practices nurture a generation of adults who feel connected to the Australian landscape, and can advocate for the use of land management practices that are ecologically sensitive.
