The focus of this studio subject is the development of both design thinking and dexterity with tools, specifically the generation and articulation of design possibilities through a series of studio-based projects: the modular type project, the mark making project, and the album cover and poster project. Through a study of graphic design traditions and visual cultural histories, and the work of a number of exemplary practitioners, students are introduced through a range of studio workshops to working with a range of design techniques and graphic methods.
