A design proposal to Canberra High School's Masterplan, and the extension and renovation of the school's library. The design is built on an integrated process that focuses on energy modelling, daylight analysis and building information modelling. The project is a collaboration between the designer and Jacob's engineers and architects in an attempt to reach Carbon Neutrality.

The school's library acts as the 'connector' in the campus, supporting learning for adjacent buildings while activating unused land in the campus by providing sightline. Incidental spaces around the building are recognized early in the design process as an opportunity to engage the new built with the students and teachers in Canberra High School. The roof of the library lets in the most amount of natural daylight while the façade creates a green wall around the building's perimeter that is visible from the interior. This creates a new front that is both socially engaging and energy efficient.

The Masterplan shows the designer's strategic position in revitalizing the school by focusing on one particular area that has the most visible impact for the users. This aims to achieve small 'wins' that can snowball into a grander plan, which has seamless overlapping between different stages.
