The true universality is women always in a secondary status in our society, men are developing the culture and women are belonging the nature, that is why the ‘man made’ filed dominates the architecture by men, and the public space is overwhelming with marks of men’s dominance (Ortner, 1976).

Until 19th century, women had to give up their legal identity after their marriages. They become a part of the property which belonged to their husband, all the conducts happened were under the control of men. Even the times progress constantly, the remains of the patriarchal dichotomization of gender still survive everywhere, it likes tyranny to administer our behaviours and bulling the minority of people whose gender does not identify as male or female based on the gender dichotomy (Doan, 2010).

Studying the history of JOB WAREHOUSE in 19th century, it is easy to find that gender is an exclusive shape of form which can marginalize the experiences and the understanding of implicit dualisms, issues of plurality, notions of actors. The meaning of the gender is actually defined by gender dichotomy – male and female, traditionally, the identity based on the social hierarchy and the activities happen in a space.

Therefore, in my thesis, I critic the exclusivity, create the inclusivity on the basis of gender in this project, try to explore is there any better way to represent the gender in architectural area, even this topic is theoretical, I still want to provide my perceptions of what can I do in terms of gender in architecture.
