What’s in the box?

Human activities in public spaces have been constrained since the start of pandemic. With the limitation of public life comes other socio-economic impacts. In terms of finding alternative outcomes, there are possibilities for landscape architecture to offer people the chance to enjoy outdoor space again. “What’s in the box?” explores the potential of collecting essential qualities and functions from public space activities and adapting them into modular systematic small-scale parklets.

Situated on redundant roads and streets (closed due to the lack of commute), this kind of landscape is transformative in order to respond quickly to the various guidelines across different stages of the lockdown.
