Evolution: Travel In Time And Space With The Edgars Creek
When the design is evolving and updating following the natural succession, the same site can present different landscapes at different time stages, some phenomena will be preserved, some will disappear, some will change, and some will be born.
After years, the retained design can remind people of the scenery existed in the past, enabling people to realize the elapse of time and the evolution of the environment, and new designs can create new stories for both people and the nature.
Therefore, when using design to intervene the natural evolution as well as continually adjusting the design interventions according to the natural evolution, the spatial functions of the site can support the multiple sensory experience all the time, simultaneously, the time-dimensional evolution process of the site can be visualized, which can also envoke people’s memory so that strengthen their sense of place, as a result, the relationship between the Edgars Creek and people can be enhanced.
