The Drover's Wife is a tragedy that took place in an isolated mountain forest. Its tragic outcome is due to the imbalance between the protagonists and the external world forces surrounding them.

My proposal first separated the place where the story happened from the outside world in space. Secondly, I used four pillars in 45 Downstairs to build the house of Drover's Wife and surrounded it by the rest of the space.

White snow and dead leaves would surround the house as a symbol of the banishment of conscience, creating a bleak and helpless atmosphere while corresponding to the season in the play.

The audience will be provided with a walkway that partially surrounds the house and several benches. They can sit on any of the benches or get up and move around. The audience can see any part of the performance at will, any detail, even sees the approaching external threat before the main character does. The audience is also part of the outside world in this immersive experience, they are in the performance and the story.

The main point is to build a reflective and even judgemental experience because everyone has a dark side, and it is the dark, blind side of this world that leads to tragedy.
