Landscape Studio One: Design Techniques is the first studio in the 300-point Master of Landscape Architecture, introducing approaches and methods for thinking about, exploring, and generating landscape design. The studio equips students with a range of design techniques including graphic analysis, sketching, physical model making and 3-D digital surface manipulation. The studio positions these techniques alongside contemporary theory for engaging with landscape design processes. With a focus on a selection of sites from within Melbourne, student's design investigations interrogate contextual issues of ecology, culture, public space, and urbanism.
