Amrita and Dani guest speakers

Alumni Amrita Mahindroo, co-founder of DROO Projects, and Dani Mileo of Tom Postma Design join us for an open discussion and Q&A with students and Launch Night attendees.

Both are graduates of the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning, and each has gone on to have creative and impactful roles in internationally based architecture and design firms.

Amrita Mahindroo

Co-founder / Director, DROO Projects

Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Amrita Mahindroo co-founded DROO with Michel Da Costa Goncalves. She has a breadth of experience in both private and public sector projects including High end Residential, Luxury retail and hospitality and Contemporary Art Museums and Urban regeneration plans, with projects in Australia, Europe, Asia and North America.

Her interest in urban architecture and city form has been informed by her continuing research on the impact of emerging technologies and economics on future building typologies and subsequently urban form. With excellent client and project management skills, she has rigorously delivered a number of high-end residential and mixed use projects, with a particular expertise in tight urban sites with innovative results.

Dani Mileo

Design Director, Tom Postma Design

Dani Mileo is an Australian-born spatial design practitioner with formal training in both fine art and architecture. She has over 8 years’ professional experience in architectural and exhibition design across Australia, Japan and Europe. In her current role at Tom Postma Design in Amsterdam, Dani oversees the creative direction of all projects, whilst simultaneously leading the design and delivery of major exhibition architecture, focusing predominantly on museum and gallery exhibitions. She has previously held positions at OMA (Rotterdam), Shigeru Ban Architects (Tokyo) and the Zaha Hadid/ Nikken Sekkei Joint Venture Office (Tokyo).
