Hands-On Design

Curious about design but not sure where to start? Join us for a full day on campus exploring how design shapes the world around us, from buildings and landscapes to games, digital experiences and everything in between.

This is a hands-on, interactive day for Year 9 and 10 students to try out different design disciplines at the University of Melbourne. You don’t need any design experience just curiosity and a willingness to give things a go.

At Hands on Design you will;

• Explore what “design” actually means and how it’s used in the real world
• Take part in hands-on workshops across different design areas
• Discover majors you might not know about, including our newest majors interior design, and game design
• Experience what it’s like to study on a university campus
• Meet current university students and academics
