Friday 7 March - Friday 11 April 2025
Design Gallery, Glyn Davis Building
This exhibition invited you to explore bold, creative proposals to one of the most urgent challenges of our time: urban food security. It showcased cutting-edge ideas from the University of Melbourne’s 2024 Edible Urban Futures winter intensive, where over 110 students and academics from 10 countries collaborated to rethink how design, architecture, and urban planning can transform the way we produce, access, and share food in cities.
It also featured a suite of lectures, talks, and panel discussions from domestic and international collaborators including Bruce Pascoe, Sir Peter Cook, Caroline Bos, CJ Lim, Rodrigo Ocha Jurado, academics from other partner institutions and University of Melbourne academics.
This exhibition was curated by Professor Justyna Karakiewicz and Theo Blankley.
