Biography
I research insolvency risk and payment practices in the construction sector. My work focuses on how payment laws operate in practice and how payment security can be improved. Using qualitative methods, I aim to support policy reform and better industry practices. I previously worked as a project coordinator and quantity surveyor.
Thesis
Payment Trust Frameworks as a Mechanism to Enhance Payment Practices and Address Insolvency Risk in the Australian Construction Sector
My PhD investigates construction trust funds as a policy tool to improve payment security in the construction industry. It looks at how these trust systems are implemented, how firms adapt their practices in response, and their effectiveness in reducing insolvency risk. Using qualitative research, the project aims to better understand how trust-based payment protections work in real-world settings and to inform future regulatory reform and industry practice.
