Contribute energy to the grid at home, then charge your vehicle wherever you need to.
Thinking about neighbourhoods producing their own power as well as consuming it led to this project – how might that energy become a community or neighbourhood fund, and how that power might be used for transport as well as around the home? The Solar Stations are intended as top-up or overnight recharge stations for shared or privately owned electric vehicles. Would we need petrol stations if you could simply charge up at the kerbside? If electric cars replaced petrol cars and petrol stations become redundant, the Super-solar stations could easily use the remnant space for a cleaner re-fuelling option.
