Sunshine Running Track and Productive Streetscapes
Productive streetscapes creating opportunities for the community.
Inspired by the ‘Garden City’ design of the suburb, the Sunshine Running Track and Productive Streetscapes build on opportunities presented by the wide streets and public green space in the area. Using urban agriculture to develop the social fabric of the area, the running track connects productive gardens, markets, and a cafe built on the roundabout. The productive streetscapes create opportunities for local residents to be involved in growing food, and the running track captures stormwater for the productive streetscapes.
