Towards a Digital Estate – what information do we need to make good decisions about how we use, manage and retrofit the estate to achieve a zero-carbon building portfolio?
Various groups across the university have static and dynamic data about the digital built environment, but it is siloed and fragmented, not integrated and well connected in a common data environment. Digital Twin are predicted to transform how we manage the built environment via a dynamic, digital replica of the physical environment. Such an environment is inherently multi-disciplinary, therefore it makes sense to form the foundations in how we progress with this innovative technology with a team from both ABP and FEIT.
