Thomas Gilbert

Biography
Thomas is a housing focused Architect and Principal at Hayball, with over 15 years of professional experience designing to a range of community cohorts and scales. From private dwellings, social, affordable and build-to-rent apartment communities and student university colleges.
Working across Australia and New Zealand has allowed him to explore different climates, materials, and community structures to support a people centric response to housing. He is currently heavily involved in the Victorian Government’s social housing big build.
He has a personal interest in new technologies such as mass timber and is an occasional guest design critic at the MSD and contributor to housing research papers at both UoM + RMIT.
