Call for Applications for the 2023 Learning and Teaching Initiatives

Applications are now being accepted for the Learning and Teaching Initiative (LTI) Grants for 2023. There is one general funding category in this round, General Learning and Teaching, with a maximum funding amount of $35,000. Applicants are encouraged to focus on initiatives that align with the goals of the Advancing Students and Education Strategy: 2023-2030, although other areas can also be targeted.

Applications close at 5pm, Friday 14 July 2023 and outcomes will be communicated by mid-August. For more information about this round, please refer to the LTI guidelines document and the LTI website, where Project Proposal forms can be found.

To assist with the development of strong proposals, the Melbourne CSHE will host a workshop: “Successful Learning and Teaching Initiative Grants: pitching ideas” on Wednesday 14 June 12.00pm-2.00pm. Please encourage anyone considering applying to attend. Registration via this link.

Furthermore, the Melbourne Centre for the Study of Higher Education are hosting two Learning Design Studio Workshops for LTI proposal development. These sessions are open to all faculties and are designed to guide teams in the process of applying for and securing these grants. In addition to the LTIs, applications for the Global Classrooms Seed Grants are now being accepted. Chancellery Global, Culture and Engagement are offering seed grants of up to $10,000 (totaling up to $100,000) as part of the University's mission to internationalise our curriculum and increase student access to global learning experiences that are both innovative and distinctive.
