BEL+T teams up with ABP academics to produce innovative opportunities for students to engage in site-based learning.
Engaging with site from anywhere, at anytime
- Provide equitable and inclusive opportunities for students to engage with sites
- Allow students to visit virtual sites wherever and whenever they want
- Enable safe exploration of remote or potentially hostile environments
- Offer perspectives and animations not possible with physical site visits
- Create a holistic site experience by integrating virtual and physical visits
A collaborative design process
The process starts with a consultation to define your objectives and student needs. We’ll choose the site, decide on the format, and map out the student experience together.
Next, BEL+T will document the site and begin crafting the virtual site visit using advanced software. Your teaching team can contribute subject content to be embedded into the virtual experience, enriching the learning journey for your students.
Once completed, the virtual site visit is accessible to students anytime, anywhere. Our process is designed to be easy and efficient, letting you concentrate on delivering great education.

-
The Grainger Museum
The Grainger Museum houses an extensive collection of art, music scores, and instruments acquired by Percy Grainger, a notable and sometimes controversial figure in 20th-century Australian musical culture.
-
Melbourne City at Night
Urban life continues after dark. Cities are acknowledged as essential for sustainable and equitable global development. Yet night-time, when half of urban activities occur, is often overlooked. This virtual site visit explores the Melbourne CBD at night, addressing key night-time challenges through the lens of night-shift workers.
-
The Alan Gilbert Plantroom
This virtual site visit introduces students to the processes that occur in a mechanical plant room, helps them understand the scale and complexity of HVAC equipment, and shows how all the various elements fit together.
