North Courtyard

This area was previously a car park and has been changed significantly as part of the new building’s construction. Plants are challenged by both the built and natural landscape and as a landscape manager one needs to consider this when undertaking any planting.

The Trees

The trees chosen for this space are evergreen and will eventually grow to become quite large.

In thinking about the adjacent buildings, how might it benefit from large trees being planted in such close proximity? How are the plants interacting with people, what other organisms could be attracted here and how is the choice and arrangement of plants influencing these interactions?
