Hovering Archive: Memory Publisher for Paris De Nuit

The project rejects contemporary, large scale digital format memories that are often abandoned on cloud servers. This everyday digitalization accelerates the loss of memory. The purpose of this design is to recall the physical format of memory through photography. It is a space to physically publish Paris night photos taken from 1950 to 2000 to society.

Memory Publisher is highly inspired by famous photographer Brassai who shows under the mask, secret story for Paris de Nuit in 1930. By using similar phenomena, Memory Publisher’s aim is to inspire the public to find the power of photography, and restart to collect their own physical memory again in 2020.
