Celebration Hotel

This thesis argues that Melbourne is a celebration city where people will be able to get memorable moments with diverse activities and events, even if Melbourne is a fast-paced city and a crowded city. However, in Melbourne, there is a lack of celebration places for remembering the important moments by taking a step back from ordinary life. Mihai Stelian Rusu referred to the celebrations allow people to begin enjoying life being conscious of sensory profusion every day. Also, the celebrations are established in spatial sceneries, either permanently segregated from mundane space inside or outside the margins of society. Hence, this thesis will create a new typology of the hotel which will bring a burst of flavor to the otherwise dry routine of ordinary daily life, making our life soft, slow, and emotional by celebrating our memorable moments from birth to funeral in Melbourne.
