Since its official opening in the year 1910, Flinders Street Station is one of the most iconic monuments of Melbourne. Thousands of Victorians travel to, from, or through this building daily.

These palimpsests explore various aspects of the site, in ways that we may know it best or are yet to discover. Each one is comprised based on certain themes or aspects of Flinders Street Station, taken from several moments in time. Such moments include its reoccurring significant events, its liveliness, deterioration, crowds, and even tragedies. The many layers of photographs, artwork and news articles are a representation of the many layers of history that lie beneath this location.

The closer the observation, the more one can unveil.
