Inquiring into the origin
Inquiring into the origin of the Snowy River is a metaphor of the proposed four days ascending/ descending walk itinerary from Guthega Village to Thredbo Valley via Charlotte Pass and Seamans Hut.
The walk consists of a new proposed Grade 2 walking trail from Illawong Lodge to the starting point of existing Summit Walk near Charlotte Pass, the accessibility enhancement of the Charlotte pass and a new toilet close to Seamans Hut as well as a camping guide for overnight stay nearby.
The itinerary links existing walks and accommodations to provide an immersive walking experience for everybody comfortably. It disperse the visitation to reduce overcrowding issues at the summit of Mount Kosciuszko and brings people to adjacent resorts all year around.
