Module 3: Surface vs Pattern
In this module relationships between surface and pattern are investigated through the hybridisation of 3D macro-scale topological surface (South-West Tasmania terrains) and 2D micro-scale painterly pattern (robe samples from Northern Italian Renaissance painting). It is anticipated that somewhere between movement and stasis, affect and object, matter and discursive formations, lie the possibility for new drape variants to emerge.
