Stitching of the Urban Fabric

Rehabilitating the fractured urban environment with green connections.

Mapping the emerging or existing activity centres within Sunshine, this project stitches the suburb back together using existing and proposed points of intervention. “Stitching” identifies opportunities on each side of the railway line to reintroduce the historic wetland system in Sunshine. Rehabilitating these green spaces and developing activity nodes in or nearby, the project then layers physical connections across the railway line allied with these spaces.
