Studio two is focused on landscape design processes, exploratory techniques, critical research, and inquiry for developing ecologically sensitive urban design. This studio follows a multi-objective approach in exploring the interrelation between site and design in landscape architectural practice. The landscape design brief asks students to create a new urban park for the old Carlton United site in Carlton, addressing issues of demographics, the urban water system, climate change and future urban growth. In exploring these themes students have engaged in extensive research, conceptual mapping, and the development of new terrain through digital modelling with Rhino 3D.
