MURA Plaque

Reproduction of an artefact for Chancellery and the Melbourne University Rifle Association, through 3D Scanning and 3D Printing technologies.

Photogrammetry

Left - Digitised model geometry. Right - Model with 3D scanned texture applied.

Photogrammetry was used to digitise the 3D model and its texture.
To supplement the photogrammetry, Z-Brush, a digital sculpting software was used to accentuate and add details.

Finished 3D printed plaque

The finished plaque was then printed with Fab Lab's HP Jet Fusion, a high-detail powder-based printer that can be injected with colour while it prints, allowing it to reproduce the digital object.
