Our dedicated photography studios allow for the ideal conditions for taking photos of models and objects. Featuring an infinity backdrop, professional lighting equipment, and flexibility for all sizes of subjects. The studios allow complete isolation of figure from background to produce professional photographs.

Access
The MSD Maker Spaces requires students and staff to undergo certain training before they can access the services and facilities. Please complete the Level 0 and Level 1 inductions to gain access.

Our Services
Located in the basement foyer behind the stairs of the Glyn Davis Building, this is a photo stage with fixed but adjustable lighting and a white paper infinity backdrop. Great for small to large sized models - max size 1m³.
Located between the print room and the room 128/129, this is a photo stage with fixed but adjustable lighting and a white paper infinity backdrop. Great for small to large sized models - max size 1m³.
Portable studio and lighting options can also be booked out as an alternative to the fixed photo studios located around the building. There are small collapsible photo boxes available for everyone and large portable backdrops reserved for teaching and faculty staff.
