The Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning offers two distinct Student Ambassador and Leadership Programs (SALP):
- Bachelor of Design Student Ambassador & Leadership Program
- Melbourne School of Design Student Ambassador & Leadership Program
Student Ambassadors are passionate, dedicated students who actively participate in various activities to promote the Faculty. They provide first-hand insights to key stakeholders, including future students, alumni, and industry partners.

What's involved
As a Student Ambassador, we encourage you to share your experiences and help prospective and new students grasp their potential. This may involve participating in events such as speaker panels, contributing to video productions, and helping run fun hands-on workshops. Your role as a Student Ambassador includes assisting with:
- Open Day
- Creating student profiles (including photographs) for use in web and print advertising
- Optional tours of the faculty and/or university
Ambassadors play a crucial role in communicating their experiences to prospective students, sharing insights into why they chose their course, what to expect during studies, how to transition into life at Melbourne, and how to best prepare for graduate study.
The position requires a minimum time commitment of approximately 20 hours (or 4- 6 events/activities) across the year.
Eligibility
- You must be enrolled in the Bachelor of Design or a Melbourne School of Design graduate program.
- You must have completed at least 1 semester with a 65% WAM.
