The focus of this studio is on the production of a design for an urban open space with focus on social life, using Queen Victoria Market as a case study. The studio introduces a range of precedents, principles, and practices for urban landscape design. Designs integrate multi-scalar analyses, field observations and reflexive subjective experiences to speculate the future of place. The studio encourages students to build on their architecture and landscape architecture knowledge and skills to explore transdisciplinary practices.
