Master of Urban Planning/Master of Urban Design

The Master of Urban Planning/Master of Urban Design is ideal for students wanting to express their creativity while also channeling their social conscience to improve our cities.

Students who complete the Master of Urban Planning/Master of Urban Design will be accredited with the following professional organisations:

  • Planning Institute of Australia (PIA)
Entry requirements
  1. Completion of an undergraduate degree in either Architecture or Landscape Architecture with a weighted average mark of at least 65%.
  2. A design portfolio in a format as specified by the Selection Committee; and
  3. a personal statement outlining relevant prior study and work experience, and motivation to undertake the course;

NB: Students who did not complete an undergraduate major in Architecture or Landscape Architecture can meet the requirements for entry to the Master of Urban Planning/Master of Urban Design by completing the first year of a 300 point Master of Architecture or Master of Landscape Architecture. Please note that folio and WAM requirements will still apply when requesting to transfer.
