MSDx 2025 is evolving
MSDx has become a defining moment for the Faculty – and we remain the only design school bold enough to celebrate student work at this scale, twice a year. From 2025, each edition will have its own identity. MSDx winter will focus on design in progress – the thinking, experimenting, site visiting and collaborating that underpin great design education. It’s a behind-the-scenes look at ideas in motion, offering peers, industry and future collaborators a window into the raw, risky and real work of design learning. Graduating students will now take centre stage, with their work featured more prominently and curated with greater focus – creating a launchpad for practice.
MSDx winter reflects the reality of contemporary practice, where clients and collaborators aren’t just interested in polished outcomes – they want to see the thinking behind the work. In a time of rapid change and generative AI, showing how ideas evolve is more valuable than ever. MSDx summer will continue to showcase the breadth and finish of final projects, while MSDx winter invites a closer look at process. Together, they offer a compelling rhythm – one forward-looking, one reflective – both rooted in design excellence.

Save your offcuts and minimise waste!
We’re collecting materials for our upcoming Upcycling Keychain Making Workshop with artist Louise Meuwissen.
This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to making MSDx as sustainable and waste-free as possible. By repurposing leftover materials, we’re not only reducing waste—we’re transforming it into something meaningful and imaginative.
Louise’s practice is grounded in environmental care and a reverence for nature. Her work explores themes of devotion, the Sublime, hoarding, storytelling, and mythology—making her the perfect collaborator for this creative reuse project.
Hold onto your offcuts and help us turn scraps into something special!

What you need to know about exhibiting your work
- MSDx is a curated exhibition, which means not all student work will be included each time, however, all students will have the opportunity to exhibit their work in their graduating year — something we’re really looking forward to celebrating with you.
- Unless we hear from you, we’ll assume you're happy for your work to be included in the MSDx exhibition.
- Please note that while we take great care with all work on display, exhibiting does come with a small risk of damage or theft as the building is open to the public.
- After the exhibition, your work will be available for collection between 12 July and 16 July. Unfortunately, any work not collected by 16 July will need to be discarded due to limited storage capacity.
- Even if your work isn’t exhibited this time, we’d love for you to come along to the launch. It’s a great chance to celebrate your peers, get inspired, and explore Thesis — our showcase of graduating student projects.
Thank you for being part of MSDx!
